Human Rights Council to hold its forty-first regular session from 24 June to 12 July 2019

The United Nations Human Rights Council is holding its forty-first regular session from 24 June to 12 July 2019 in the Human Rights and Alliance of Civilizations Room at the Palais des Nations in Geneva.

During the three-week session, the Council will heard the report of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, as well as over 100 reports on a wide range of human rights issues, the most important of which are reports from about 30 countries on the Universal Periodic Review procedure.

The agenda includes the following issues: combating the glorification of Nazism and neo-Nazism, preventing genocide, protecting the rights of indigenous peoples, combating trafficking in women and children, preventing early marriage, protecting internally displaced persons, combating corruption.

A delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan headed by the Director of the National Center for Human Rights A. Saidov takes part in its work.
