Issues of improving mechanisms for dialogue between government agencies and the population are discussed

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was briefed on efforts to enhance communication between government agencies and the public.

Amid large-scale transformations taking place in all spheres of state and public life, the importance of improving the system for handling citizens’ appeals, expanding the capabilities of the People’s Receptions, introducing modern approaches into their activities, and studying public opinion more deeply, as well as taking it into account when making decisions, is increasing.

It was emphasized that accurately and comprehensively understanding the population’s sentiments, needs, and expectations requires modern professional sociological and analytical methods. This is an essential factor in obtaining objective information on the effectiveness of reforms and in developing long-term development programs.

The President noted that consistently strengthening the culture of dialogue with the people, the ability to listen to citizens, and the practice of making decisions that take their views into account must remain the main principles of government agencies’ work.

It was reiterated that one of the main tasks of state authorities, as well as local executive bodies, is not only to respond promptly to citizens’ appeals but also to conduct their systematic analysis, compare them with the results of sociological research, develop the necessary solutions, and, overall, improve the quality of dialogue and strengthen trust between the state and society.

The need to further reinforce the institutional foundations of continuous interaction between the authorities and the population was emphasized, along with the formation of a modern model based on new approaches and aligned with the system for studying public opinion.

Following the discussion, responsible officials were given relevant instructions to improve mechanisms for dialogue with the population and enhance the effectiveness of work with citizens’ appeals.
