In particular, in accordance with Article 57 of the draft law, the rights of persons with disabilities and lonely elderly people, the disabled and other needy categories of the population are protected by the state. Moreover, the state creates conditions for the full access of persons with disabilities to objects and services of the social, economic and cultural spheres, promotes their employment, education, provides the opportunity to freely obtain the information they need. Article 115 of the draft Constitutional law provides that the Cabinet of Ministers must ensure the effective functioning of the system of social protection of the population, including persons with disabilities.
It should also be noted that the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Law “On the rights of persons with disabilities” were first printed in Braille at the initiative of the National Center for Human Rights in 2020.
