Tashkent (UNA) – The Independent Permanent Human Rights Commission of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, represented by its member, Dr. Mirzatillo Telayev, participated in the Fifth Samarkand Human Rights Forum, held in Uzbekistan on September 28 and 29, 2026, on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the International Covenants on Human Rights and the 40th anniversary of the United Nations Declaration on the Right to Development.
This participation strengthens the ongoing cooperation between the Independent Permanent Human Rights Commission and the National Human Rights Center of the Republic of Uzbekistan, which is based on the Memorandum of Understanding concluded between the two sides, and contributes to advancing joint activities, exchanging knowledge and strengthening institutional cooperation in the field of promoting human rights and sustainable development.
