Representatives of the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan participated in the Fifth Samarkand Human Rights Forum, held in the city of Samarkand on September 28–29.
According to the Service’s website, the forum’s agenda included issues regarding global indicators associated with human trafficking, international experience in combating it, and an examination of the potential of information technologies to identify human trafficking victims.
A representative of the Turkmen delegation, addressing the forum participants, highlighted the country’s humanitarian policy, the significant work being carried out in the migration sphere, and cooperation with prominent international organizations and their bodies.
