Competition “Education and Innovations in the Field of Human Rights and Freedoms”: Winners Awarded

On December 13, the National Center for Human Rights of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted an award ceremony for the winners of the national competition “Education and Innovations in the Field of Human Rights and Freedoms”. The event was hosted by Akmal Saidov, Director of the National Center for Human Rights of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The competition was organized at the initiative of the National Center for Human Rights of the Republic of Uzbekistan in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations, the Ministry of Preschool and School Education, the Agency for Youth Affairs and the Youth Union. This competition was held in accordance with the requirements of the Resolution of the President of Uzbekistan “On Approval of the National Program of Education in the Field of Human Rights in the Republic of Uzbekistan” dated February 7, 2023.

The competition lasted from June 1 to November 1 of this year. The main focus was on increasing legal culture and literacy among all segments of the population by encouraging education and innovations in the field of human rights and freedoms, as well as supporting scientific research.

The competition was held in 6 nominations and 819 participants took part. According to the regulations, if 3 or fewer applications are received in a particular nomination, the competition in that nomination will not be held. Therefore, the issue of determining the winners in the nominations “The best educational literature on human rights and freedoms: printed and electronic educational literature” and “The best training course on human rights” was not considered. The jury carefully studied the submitted applications and creative works. As a result, winners were determined in 4 nominations. Diplomas and prizes were solemnly awarded to the following winners:

Nomination "Best Video on Human Rights and Freedoms"

1 - Muminova Latifa   3rd year student of the Faculty of Ecology and Law, Faculty of Law, Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers

2- Adiljanov Bekhruzbek Akmalovich  A 10th grade student at the Presidential School in Nurafshan, Tashkent region

3- Azizova Charos Samarkand city 4th grade student of the 49th school

"Best Article on Human Rights: Best Scientific Article and Best Popular Article" nomination

1- Saidov Sanjar Shavkatovich  Associate Professor, Department of Political Science, Uzbek State University of World Languages

2- Makhmudova Hurmatkhon Mukhtorovna A student of jurisprudence at Bukhara State University

3- Rasulov Sarvarbek Zubaidulloevich 3rd year student of the Faculty of Criminal Justice, Tashkent State University of Law

3- Primkulova Feruza Amirkulovna Tashkent State Law University, 3rd-cycle correspondence student, Head of the Department of Private Legal Sciences, Center for Advanced Training of Lawyers

Nomination "Author of the best innovative idea on human rights"

1- Esonova Mekhriniso International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan, 2nd year student of the Jurisprudence program

2- Tukhtasinov Nurillo Teacher of the Department of "Public Administration" of Tashkent State University of Law

3- Rusiyeva Munisakhon Educator at "Nur Ziya" kindergarten

3- Ibrokhimova Oybonu Teacher of the Academic Lyceum named after M.S. Vosikov under the Tashkent State University of Law

"Human rights scholar" nomination

1- Yozilov Dilshodbek 1st year student of Criminal Justice at Tashkent State University of Law

2- Sodiqov Sa’nat Resident of house 86, Abadi village, Zarangari MFY, Bukhara region

3- Abdullayev Sukhrobjon 1st year student of Criminal Justice at Tashkent State University of Law

Also, certificates of appreciation were presented to partner organizations that actively participated in training courses aimed at expanding the rights and opportunities of young people through human rights education.

This event was held within the framework of the "Decade of Human Rights" announced in connection with the 32nd anniversary of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the 76th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and December 10 - International Human Rights Day.

The national competition played an important role in promoting education and innovation in the field of human rights, raising legal culture in society, and supporting scientific research in this area. The successes of the winners and active participants of the competition serve as an incentive for efforts to further develop education in the field of human rights.
