Interparliamentary diplomacy: Uzbekistan’s voice in the global parliamentary dialogue

The book “Parliamentary Pathways: Chronicles of a Voice in the Inter-Parliamentary Union, 2020-2023” has been published.

This work, authored by academician Akmal Saidov, is a significant contribution to the study and documentation of the growing role of parliamentary diplomacy in the 21st century. The book spans the period from 2020 to 2023, describing the challenges faced by national parliaments in an era of global change.

This book is not just a memoir or a collection of memoirs, but an important guide for readers, in particular, for parliamentarians, scientists, diplomats and development specialists who seek to understand the institutional mechanisms and political thinking underlying the global mission of the Inter-Parliamentary Union.

The final part of the book includes the text of the decisions taken and reveals the media coverage of parliamentary events. The chronicle of Uzbekistan’s activities within the framework of cooperation with the Inter-Parliamentary Union was also presented.

Articles and columns related to the book’s content are posted on the websites of the Inter-Parliamentary Union and the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
