The draft National Strategy of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Human Rights was discussed in the framework of national consultations held on February 28, 2020.

The draft Strategy received comments and proposals from the UN Resident Coordinator and UN Agencies in the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Regional Office of the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights for Central Asia, and the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR).

During the National Consultations on the project, representatives of civil society, the diplomatic corps and government bodies presented their proposals.

The project was finalized taking into account these suggestions and feedback.

The project is submitted for re-discussion with a view to further improvement.
