The “Human Rights House” will open in Uzbekistan

On December 3, the official opening ceremony of the “Human Rights House” will take place on the basis of the Information and Resource Center of the National Human Rights Center of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The new educational center was built on the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

“Human Rights House” is a specialized platform, i.e. a “human rights education platform”, created to support the strengthening of human rights activities in our country. Here, among other things, a modern library of international and national documents, scientific studies, commentaries and analytical reports on human rights will be formed.

The opening ceremony is being organized by the National Center in cooperation with the Agency for Information and Mass Communications under the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Alisher Navoi National Library. The event is being organized within the framework of December 8 - the day of adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan and December 10 - International Human Rights Day.

100 participants have been invited to the presentation. In particular, representatives of international and regional organizations whose activities are related to the protection of human rights and the promotion of legal norms, heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Uzbekistan, representatives of the media, specialists of state bodies, leading experts, scientific and public figures are expected to attend.

In addition, librarians in the centers of all regions of our country will be able to watch the opening of the "Human Rights House" online.
