President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed a presentation on introducing leading international experience and competencies in geology.

It was emphasized that one of the priority tasks is the development of the national geological system at a modern scientific and technological level, the expansion of the mineral resource base, and the provision of deep processing of mineral resources.

Global practice shows that even in hard-to-reach areas, it is possible to identify new deposits using artificial intelligence. Particular importance is attached to expanding regional geological exploration research and applying modern geophysical methods in this regard.

In this regard, responsible officials presented a project to establish, together with foreign partners, including one of the world’s leading mining research centers, the Colorado School of Mines (USA), a modern Competence Center that will combine scientific research and practical activities.

The center’s main tasks will include introducing digital solutions, artificial intelligence technologies, and aerial geophysical surveys into geological exploration. Based on advanced international experience, digital data analysis is planned, as well as the integration of geochemical and cosmogeological research results, and acceleration of the process of identifying promising deposits.

The Head of State approved the proposals presented and gave several instructions to organize work in the geological sector aimed at expanding international cooperation, actively introducing modern technologies, and identifying and developing promising areas.
