A delegation led by Jiang Jianguo, Executive Vice President of China Society for Human Rights Studies, visited the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
At the meeting with Deputy Minister of Justice Sherzod Rabiyev, special attention was paid to the consistently developing cooperation between Uzbekistan and China, and information was provided on the large-scale reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan.

In particular, measures were taken to improve the justice and law system, legal advocacy, legal education, and the protection of citizens’ rights and legitimate interests.
During the meeting, the delegation members were provided with detailed information about the renewed Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the norms of national legislation aimed at strengthening human rights guarantees, as well as the work carried out by the Ministry of Justice.

Mr. Jianguo expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and stressed that human rights and freedoms are a priority for both countries.
The parties confirmed their interest in enhancing mutually beneficial cooperation.
Following the meeting, it was noted that this visit would serve to strengthen bilateral relations.
